Corgeut 3002 Review – A Rose Gold-Tone Iconic Diver Homage
The Corgeut 3002 is a rose gold-tone Yacht-Master-style homage that gets a lot right for a watch under $100 before tax. It brings together a stainless steel case, rubber strap, sapphire crystal, sapphire Cyclops, ceramic bezel insert, and the Seiko NH35 automatic movement.
The rose gold tone is the first thing that surprised me. It has a slightly bronzy warmth without looking cheap, harsh, or overly yellow. Against the black rubber strap, black dial, and matte black bezel insert, the whole watch feels sportier and more luxurious than the price suggests.
Design & Case
The 3002 measures 41mm across, with a thickness of 13.3mm without the Cyclops and 14.7mm including it. Lug-to-lug comes in at 47.3mm, and the lug width is a standard 20mm.
The case finishing mixes polished and brushed surfaces. The flanks are polished, while the lug hoods have a fine satin-brushed appearance. The transitions between flank, lugs, and lug hoods are visually crisp, yet smooth to the touch.
The construction is nicely layered. Below the polished flank, the fluted lip of the screw-down caseback is visible. Above it, the notched edge of the 120-click unidirectional bezel gives the watch a more assertive sports-watch profile.
The rose gold tone is a key part of the design. It looks warm and slightly bronzy, and when paired with the black rubber strap and matte black bezel insert, the watch avoids the cheap yellow tone that could have easily spoiled the execution. Much of the appeal comes from the same design traits seen in other diver-oriented watches.
Movement & Crown
Inside the Corgeut 3002 is the Seiko NH35 self-winding automatic movement. It has 24 jewels, around 42 hours of power reserve, and a 3Hz beat rate of 21,600 vibrations per hour.
That movement gives the watch a familiar, dependable automatic base. At this price point, the NH35 remains one of the strongest parts of the overall package, especially when combined with the rest of the specification.
The crown is guarded, screws in, and measures 6.9mm across. It is quite chunky, which suits the case and makes it easy to use.
The crown is unsigned, with a polished tip. Paired with the screw-down caseback, it helps give the watch its stated 100 meters of water resistance. The overall setup feels practical and properly aligned with the sporty Yacht-Master-style design.
Bezel
The bezel is much better than I expected from Corgeut. It is a 120-click unidirectional bezel, sitting tall above the case and using deep scalloped cutouts around the edge.
Those cutouts act like broad grip channels carved into the bezel wall. Their inner surfaces are brushed, adding both grip and visual contrast against the polished rose gold-tone case. There is also a slight overhang above the case flank, giving the fingers something to catch during rotation.
The insert is matte black ceramic with a 60-minute scale embossed in a polished finish. The markings stand apart clearly from the darker surface.
The rotation is buttery smooth, with even resistance through the full 360 degrees. The resistance is on the heavier side, and the spring load pushes the bezel forward into the next detent with a controlled feel. The sound is clicky, audible, and distinct, with no cheap mushiness.
There is no backplay once it lands, and no obvious wobble at the detent. It can land between detents, but the overall action is still very impressive for the price. Collectors already familiar with Corgeut may notice recurring themes throughout this watch.
Strap
The rubber strap gives the 3002 an almost integrated look. It sits tightly between the lug hoods and runs right up to the case, making the whole watch feel more cohesive and fitted than a basic rubber-strap setup.
The outer surface is smooth with a slightly velvety feel. It looks good against the rose gold-tone case, although it does pick up dust easily, so it needs the occasional wipe to stay clean.
On the inside, the strap is slightly textured with grooves running through it. From a wearing perspective, that should help keep it comfortable and practical.
The clasp is another strong point. It is a secure milled clasp with a safety latch, finished with a mix of brushed and polished surfaces. Inside, the milled folding wing is also finished in the same rose gold tone, keeping the color coordination consistent across the hardware and case.
Flip the watch over and the sterile fluted screw-down caseback has a traditional, business-like look.
Crystal & Dial
Up top, the 3002 uses sapphire crystal, and the Cyclops is also sapphire. That is a real rarity under $100 before tax. The magnification is closer to 2x, and while the date does not fully fill the Cyclops vertically, it is properly aligned and impressively executed.
Beneath the crystal, the brushed inward-sloping rehaut guides the eye down to the dial. The dial itself is piano gloss black, with a white printed minute chapter around the periphery.
The indices are applied and edged in rose gold chrome. The color coordination is strong: rose gold-tone case, rose gold marker surrounds, rose gold hands, and black dial all work together cleanly.
The marker layout follows a classic diver structure, with a triangle at 12, elongated batons at 6 and 9, circular plots elsewhere, and the date cutout at 3 under the Cyclops.
The Corgeut logo and brand name sit under 12, with “Automatic” and “100M” above 6. The hands are rose gold-edged in a classic diver style, with a lollipop seconds pointer.
