Seagull 6075 Review – A Budget Automatic Dress Watch With Sapphire
The Seagull 6075 is one of those watches that makes more sense when you remember the brand behind it. Seagull has been around for over 70 years, and this is not a microbrand watch built only around a familiar design language. It is a budget-friendly dress watch from a company that also makes its own movements.
At around $80 before tax, the 6075 brings a stainless steel case, sapphire crystal, a Seagull automatic movement, and a surprisingly complete leather strap setup. It is simple at first glance, but the details are where it becomes more interesting. This watch competes directly with many others in the ultra affordable sub $100 pricing bracket, each offering its own strengths.
Design & Case
The Seagull 6075 measures 40mm in diameter, 10mm thick, and 47.5mm lug-to-lug, with a standard 20mm lug width. The proportions give it a clean business-dress profile, helped by the slim case height and restrained dial opening.

From above, the watch looks polished and straightforward. There is a polished fixed bezel supporting the sapphire crystal, polished lugs, and a clean white dial that keeps the overall presentation formal.
The side profile adds more refinement. The case flank is flat, relatively tall, and horizontally brushed, sitting between the polished bezel above and the screw-down caseback lip below. The lugs fall away sharply and hook downward toward the wrist, helping the strap wear naturally.

The transitions are crisp, with polished surfaces, brushed flanks, angled lug geometry, and clean separation between the different case sections. Visually, it looks sharp and well defined, while still remaining smooth to the touch.
Movement & Crown
Inside the 6075 is the Seagull ST17 automatic movement. It runs at 21,600 vibrations per hour, or 3Hz, with 17 jewels and around 37 hours of power reserve.

That movement connection matters here. This is a Seagull watch powered by a Seagull movement, which gives the watch a stronger identity than another budget dress piece using a third-party caliber.
The crown is signed, push-pull, and measures 5.9mm across. It is tall and notchy, so it remains easy enough to grip when setting the time.

The watch keeps things uncomplicated mechanically. It is not trying to be exotic or over-engineered. The appeal is in the combination of a self-winding movement, slim dress case, sapphire crystal, and a price that stays around the $80 before-tax mark.
Bezel
The polished fixed bezel gives the Seagull 6075 its clean upper profile. It supports the sapphire crystal and creates a simple, reflective frame around the white dial.
The sapphire crystal sits a hairline above the bezel, creating a small step at the top of the watch. It also has anti-reflective coating, which helps the dial remain clear while keeping the front of the watch visually restrained.

That polished bezel works with the polished lugs and the dress-watch layout. It keeps the watch formal and tidy, while the brushed case flank adds just enough contrast when viewed from the side. This watch fits squarely into the modern dress watches segment
Strap
The leather strap is one of the more pleasant surprises on the Seagull 6075. It uses a genuine leather construction with a crocodile-style outer texture, slight cushioning, and black stitching running along the sides.

Flip the strap over and the underside is gray leather, stamped “genuine leather.” Seagull branding is also present on the underside, which makes the strap feel more proprietary than the generic straps often found on watches at higher prices.
The buckle is also well executed. It is polished stainless steel, milled rather than thin and pressed, and has a slightly ornate shape that suits the dress-watch character.

The buckle is signed with the Seagull brand name at the tip. Around the back, the exhibition caseback gives a view of the ST17 self-winding automatic movement inside.
Crystal & Dial
Under the flat sapphire crystal, the dial is matte white and very much in dress-watch territory. It is clean, restrained, and structured without feeling busy.
Around the outer edge is a black printed minute chaptering. It gives the dial enough definition while keeping the layout light. The hour markers are applied chrome indices, with slim batons across most positions and more triangular markers at 3, 6, 9, and 12.

There is no lume anywhere on the dial. There are no lume plots and no luminous hands, which fits the dress-watch character described in the review.
The hour and minute hands are elongated chrome pointers. They are slim and sharp, matching the applied markers rather than dominating the dial.

At 6 o’clock, the small seconds sub-dial adds the main point of visual interest. It is slightly recessed into the dial and has an ivory sunburst texture, catching light differently from the matte white surface. The running seconds hand is a simple chrome pointer. Branding is straightforward, with Seagull under 12 and “Automatic” below it.
Summary
The Seagull 6075 is simple, but it is not empty. At around $80 before tax, it gives you a stainless steel dress watch with sapphire crystal, anti-reflective coating, an ST17 automatic movement, and a strap setup that feels unusually complete for the price.

The case finishing is also stronger than the first impression suggests. The polished bezel and lugs, brushed case flank, downward-hooking lugs, and crisp transitions give the watch more architecture than a basic dress case.
The dial keeps things restrained, with a matte white surface, black minute chapter, applied chrome markers, and a recessed ivory sunburst small seconds register at 6. The 6075 is not flawless, but at the right price, it offers a lot of watch from a brand with real movement-making heritage.
