Boderry Voyager Quartz Review – A Functional Titanium Field Watch
The Boderry Voyager Quartz is a bright, quirky field watch that still manages to feel more premium than the price suggests. For around $100, it brings a titanium case, sapphire crystal front and rear, a Swiss Ronda 64D quartz movement, a date complication, and an off-center small seconds display.
This version stands out because of the color. The sky blue dial, orange small seconds sub-dial, blue and orange canvas strap, and sand-blasted titanium hardware make the watch feel playful without losing the practical military-field character that defines the Voyager line. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Boderry lean into titanium finishing.
Design & Case
The Boderry Voyager Quartz measures 38.5mm in diameter, 47mm lug-to-lug, and 9.9mm thick, with a 20mm lug width. On my 6.5-inch wrist, the fit is excellent, with no overhangs, and the watch should work easily for wrists around 5.5 inches and above.
The case is titanium, with a sand-blasted finish that gives it a muted, purposeful feel. It is not a tall watch, and from the side the flank looks elegant and fairly flat as it stretches from one aggressively downturned lug to the other.

The lugs are one of the key design features. They twist and curve downward, creating distinctive angles and light play across the facets and surfaces.
That same twisted shape also helps integrate the crown at 4 o’clock. The crown does not sit as a simple protrusion at 3. Instead, it tucks into the case architecture and feels naturally protected by the lug structure. There’s a familiar visual character here that aligns closely with several other field watches we’ve reviewed.
Movement & Crown
Inside the Boderry Voyager Quartz is the Swiss Ronda caliber 64D quartz movement. It is accurate to minus 10 to plus 20 seconds per month and has an operating life of about 40 months, or approximately three and a half years.
That movement choice gives the watch a practical and more premium foundation than a basic unnamed quartz caliber. It also powers the date complication and the off-center small seconds layout, which are important parts of the watch’s personality.

The crown is wide, threaded, signed, and screws in. It sits at 4 o’clock, where it is visually integrated into the twisted lug architecture rather than interrupting the case line from the side.
That crown placement makes the watch feel more fluid and slightly more symmetrical. It also gives the case a more distinctive profile, especially when viewed from the top, where the twisted lugs and tucked crown work together as part of the same design language.
Bezel
The Voyager uses a white fixed bezel with a pronounced rounded lip. It is almost fat-lipped in appearance, but on this case it works because it frames the bright sky blue dial with a strong, clean outline.
The bezel is a defining part of the watch’s field aesthetic. It gives the dial a clear circular frame while keeping the case playful and slightly unusual.

The sapphire crystal sits below the line of the bezel. That means the crystal is visually recessed and protected by the surrounding titanium shell, which adds a practical detail to the front construction.
That arrangement also gives the watch a more layered appearance. From above, the white bezel creates the outer frame, the sapphire sits lower within it, and the vibrant dial sits beneath. It keeps the front of the watch structured, while still allowing the color and dial layout to take center stage.
Strap
The Boderry Voyager Quartz comes on a blue and orange canvas strap, and the color pairing is one of the best parts of the watch. The sky blue strap ties into the dial, while the orange accents connect with the small seconds sub-dial and date indicator.
The strap is supported by spring bars, and the overall look suits the field-watch personality well. It feels fun, casual, and practical, without looking like an afterthought.

The hardware is where Boderry adds a stronger material detail. The strap keepers are titanium, matching the case, and the buckle is also titanium. That matters because it makes the strap feel properly considered as part of the full package.
The titanium buckle is signed, which adds another small point of refinement. Flip the watch over and the rear side becomes even more unusual: this quartz watch has an exhibition caseback, with sapphire crystal on the rear as well as the front.

That sapphire sandwich setup on an $100 quartz watch is genuinely unexpected, and it gives the Voyager another distinctive talking point. Crystal & Dial
The dial is the most playful part of the Boderry Voyager Quartz. The backdrop is a bright turquoise-blue tone that immediately catches the eye, while the overall layout stays legible and practical.
Large white Arabic numerals are printed around the dial in a military-style font. Inside those main hour markers, a smaller 24-hour scale adds extra functionality and reinforces the field-watch character.

Around the periphery, a railroad-style minute track uses black and red markings. It improves readability while adding a more technical visual edge to the dial.
The Boderry name is printed neatly at 12, while below 6 the dial carries “Swiss Movement,” pointing to the Ronda quartz caliber inside.
The date complication at 4 is one of the more interesting details. Instead of a simple date aperture, it uses a curved layout that previews multiple dates at once, with a red indicator showing the current date.

Just off center from 6 sits the orange small seconds sub-dial. It has its own numerals and outer track, with a contrasting blue seconds hand. That hand is luminous, which adds another nice detail to the layout.
The lume is the weaker part. Since the dial elements are printed, I understand the limitation, but longevity is still underwhelming compared with the automatic Boderry Voyager.
Summary
The Boderry Voyager Quartz works because it combines real material value with a genuinely fun design. The titanium case, sand-blasted finish, sapphire front crystal, sapphire exhibition rear, Swiss Ronda 64D quartz movement, signed screw-in crown, and titanium strap hardware give it a stronger specification than the $100 price suggests. The value proposition becomes more interesting when viewed against similarly priced competitors.
The case design remains one of the Voyager’s main strengths. The twisted downturned lugs, tucked 4 o’clock crown, rounded fixed bezel, recessed sapphire crystal, and flat side profile make the watch feel distinctive without becoming awkward.

The dial is equally memorable. The bright turquoise-blue surface, large white numerals, inner 24-hour scale, curved date display, orange small seconds sub-dial, red date indicator, and blue small seconds hand all give the watch a playful but functional layout.
The lume longevity is underwhelming, and the printed dial elements likely play a role there. Even so, the Voyager Titanium Quartz is a charming, colorful, and surprisingly well-specified field watch for the money.
