Corgeut Diver Review – A Budget Automatic With a Superb Bezel and Unexpected Specs

The Corgeut Diver is one of those budget watches where the specification immediately asks for attention. For just over $100, it brings a stainless steel case and bracelet, sapphire crystal, sapphire Cyclops, screw-link bracelet, ceramic bezel insert, exhibition caseback, and the option of either a Miyota 8215 or Seiko NH35 automatic movement. Anyone considering this watch may also want to compare it against some of the Corgeut’s alternative offerings.

This version uses the Miyota 8215, and the overall package feels surprisingly serious for the money. The bezel action is the real headline, but the textured green dial, proper Cyclops magnification, and well-integrated bracelet all make this Corgeut feel more complete than expected. Design & Case

The Corgeut Diver is one of the brand’s newer early-2026 releases, and it shows how actively Corgeut has been expanding across GMT watches, dress watches, and divers. This one lands firmly in sporty diver territory, with a familiar stainless steel build and enough refinement to make the price feel unusually sharp.

The case measures 41mm in diameter. Thickness is 13.2mm without the Cyclops and 14.2mm with the Cyclops, so it has real wrist presence. The lug-to-lug length is 53mm because of the protruding male end links, while the lug width is a standard 20mm.

The bracelet tapers down to 16mm at the clasp, which helps give the watch a more elegant profile than the case size might suggest.

From the side, the case has a tall polished flank with vertically brushed lug hoods. The transitions into those brushed upper surfaces are visually crisp, and the brushing direction matches the bracelet end links closely. That makes the bracelet integration look nearly seamless. This release shares many characteristics commonly associated with modern diver watches.

    Movement & Crown

This version of the Corgeut Diver uses the Miyota 8215 self-winding automatic movement. It has 21 jewels, a 3Hz beat rate of 21,600 vibrations per hour, and around 42 hours of power reserve.

Corgeut also offers the same watch with a Seiko NH35 movement for an extra $30, so there is a clear specification choice depending on how much the buyer wants to spend. The version reviewed here is the more basic Miyota 8215 option.

Functionally, the Miyota works well for this style of budget automatic diver. It gives the watch central hours, minutes, seconds, and the date complication positioned under the Cyclops at 3 o’clock.

The crown is unsigned, screws in, and measures 6.8mm across. It sits between crown guards on the right-hand side of the case, keeping the diver profile intact.

Together with the screw-down caseback construction, the screw-in crown supports the watch’s 100-meter water resistance rating. All in all the the price of just over $100 is a superb one for this piece, although the value proposition becomes more interesting when viewed against similarly priced competitors.

    Bezel

The bezel is the strongest part of the Corgeut Diver. It is a 120-click unidirectional bezel, and straight away, the physical grip feels exactly right for a diver.

There is a slight overhang above the case flank, and the edge is brushed rather than polished. The scallops are deep, notchy, and also brushed, so it avoids the slippery polished feel that appears on too many budget divers.

The bezel aligns spot-on at 12. The ceramic insert carries a white 60-minute scale etched into the surface, with a luminous pip at 12.

The action is excellent. It feels heavy, but not forced, with a controlled buttery resistance across the full rotation cycle. There are no tight spots, hollow sections, or sudden changes in character as the bezel turns.

Once it lands in a detent, there is no backplay. You also cannot deliberately land between clicks, because the spring tension pulls the bezel cleanly into the next index position. Just as importantly, there is no lateral play at the detent, so there is no horizontal wobble when seated.

    Bracelet

The bracelet is another positive surprise, especially because it uses screw links on a watch sitting just above the $100 mark. That immediately gives the bracelet a more serious impression than the push-pin bracelets often found in this price range.

Integration with the watch head is also very well managed. The end links sit tightly into the case, and the brushing direction on the bracelet closely matches the vertically brushed lug hoods. Visually, the bracelet flows into the case rather than looking like a separate unit attached later.

That said, it is still a budget bracelet. The tolerances could be tighter, and some visible gaps are already present between the links before the bracelet is flexed. Once stretched and flexed, those gaps open up further.

The clasp is a step up. It is a secure milled unit, and inside there is a milled folding wing. That gives the bracelet setup a more substantial functional feel.

Flip the watch over and this version has a mineral crystal exhibition display back. Corgeut also offers a solid screw-down caseback option at no extra charge. Crystal & Dial

Up top, the Corgeut Diver uses a flat sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. The Cyclops is sapphire as well, and it actually performs properly. The date fills the magnifier well both vertically and horizontally, while the framed date window underneath remains clean and easy to read.

Below the sapphire crystal, the eye is guided down by an inward-sloping brushed rehaut onto a gradient textured dial. The dial starts with a deep green tone toward the center before darkening gradually until it becomes almost black around the edges.

The surface is coarse and grainy, which gives the dial more life. The gradient already creates depth, but the texture adds another layer by producing small micro shadows as light moves across the surface.

Around the dial, there is yellow minute chaptering and printed hour markers. The layout uses elongated batons all the way around except for the triangle at 12.

The hands are classic in style, with chrome edging and white central lume plots. The white lume in the hands ties back to the white 60-minute scale on the bezel.

In the dark, the watch performs well. The hands and dial markers glow bright green, while the bezel pip at 12 glows blue. The only improvement would be longer lume endurance.

    Summary

The Corgeut Diver is very close to being an excellent budget automatic diver. The stainless steel case, sapphire crystal, sapphire Cyclops, screw-link bracelet, screw-in crown, ceramic bezel insert, and Miyota 8215 movement all create a serious specification for just over $100.

The bezel action is the standout. It is heavy, smooth, controlled, properly indexed, and free of backplay, lateral play, or vague detent feel. At this price, that level of mechanical confidence is impressive.

The bracelet has visible gaps, and the lume could last longer, but those feel like understandable compromises in context. What matters is that the watch looks good, feels solid, and gets the key tactile elements right.

For me, this is an easy recommendation in the budget diver space. Viewed on its own, the watch performs well, though comparisons naturally add context, you may want to explore a similar priced diver from Pagani Design the PD-YS034.
